Welcome to the Certified Professional Installer Certification. This curricula is brought to you by WIA and powered by Federated Wireless. This course contains the information needed to obtain your Certified Professional Installer Certification. Students will explore this topic through a series of modules and lessons.
There are five modules in the CPI Certification course.
Module 1: Introduction to the Citizen Broadband Radio Service (CBRS)
Module 2: Introduction to Spectrum Access System (SAS)
Module 3: Working with a Citizens Broadband Service Device (CBSD)
Module 4: Working with the Federated Wireless Spectrum Controller
Module 5: Getting Your CPI Certification
Students will take each module in order followed by an assessment. At the end of the course, students will take the official WInnForum CPI Certification Exam.
Pursuant to the FCC, the majority of CBRS radio transceivers or Citizen’s Broadband Service Devices (CBSDs) must be installed by a CPI in order to lawfully operate within the designated spectrum of CBRS. In order to meet the FCC Part 96 rules, CPIs must be trained and currently certified.
TEC recommends the Fundamentals of CBRS as a Prerequisite course.
Students are required to confirm that they have registered a proctor to supervise individual test-taking for the WInnForum CPI Examination. Students are requested to schedule test taking with their proctor to be present during the examination, and required to acknowledge comprehension of Terms and Conditions. This must be completed prior to system access to the CPI examination.
This is the official WInnForum CPI certification exam.
All questions for this exam have been provided by WInnForum.
To be certified as a CPI, you must pass this exam.
To pass this exam, students must answer 75% of the exam questions correctly.
The exam must be completed within one hour.
If a student does not pass this exam, the student will be permitted to take the exam module again.
The CPI certification is effective for five years
