Course Overview

The purpose of the site survey course is to familiarize students with the RF and venue-specific data necessary to be collected and organized for various project purposes. A major portion of the site survey effort is to understand the existing RF environment from both the perspective of macro noise leaking in, as well as propagation behaviors throughout the areas of interest. The efforts to provide a detailed inventory of the physical site helps planners obtain accurate estimates for bills of material that the models generate and can then be used to create cost estimates and quality assessments of the initiative at every phase.

Intended Audiences

  • In-building technologists and project managers
  • DAS equipment manufacturers and test equipment manufacturers
  • Personnel who desire to refresh and advance their understanding of In-building site surveys
